I'm interested in the stereo as well - I wonder if it's a direct swap with the canbus 02+ units?

Re: New city jetta
I bought a '08 City Jetta in BC as I traded in the '02 1.8T I sure miss the turbo! I drove it back from Kamloops last week. It sure is missing lots of small stuff like vanity lights and glove box light. Tie downs in the trunk and the pockets on the back of the seats.
I did get the Tiptronic tranny and alloy wheels. I will post up some pictures soon. My mom just bought an EOS now that is a nice car!

Re: New city jetta
haha! i guess you meant the old body mk4 city as opposed to this new one. my guess would be it would depend on the year. '07 or '08. informed consumer again? i'd hope the salesman would know the difference and point it out!Originally posted by Compton View PostI understand he would give me a city jetta but which one? haha They really should of changed the names. Now that i actually think about it, it looks like a safari vehicle.
i kinda like it.

Re: New city jetta
Looks kind of strange to me... the old and the new don't really mesh together well. Oh well, I had no intentions of buying one either way.

Re: New city jetta
I like everything except for the rear. Its not a bad car considering how the economy is shaping out to be now... And the increase in Calgary's population, its a smart idea to go for something like this as opposed to an Escalade or something big and sucks up gas

Re: New city jetta
I believe base price went from $16700 to $16900 but the freight and pdi dropped down $100 because they are together as one now at $1335.

I understand he would give me a city jetta but which one? haha They really should of changed the names.
