if you are using synthetic and doing it every 5000km's you might as well just switch back to conventional.

3000-5000km although some say that doing it around 8000 is fine as well.

I use castrol syth and its surprisingly cheaper at the dealer then at canadian tire.

I had a quick dumb question for you guys. For those of you with 1.8T engines, how often do you change your oil? It seems so many people do it at differnt times i was curious how long you guys waited? I used castrol syntec or royal purple with a oem filter.
