I need hood pins for a MK4 Jetta carbon fibre hood. Anyone know a place in town that would stock them? TIA

they still latch properly using the stock latch point. it's when you buy a cheap one and it doesn't fit right that you have to use pins.Last edited by RONDAL; 01-06-2008, 01:55 PM.Team Highschool

Re: Hood Pins
OK I am not even going to bother arguing the point. Just think that metal bonded to carbon fiber is no where as strong as metal bonded to metal.Name: Brent

Re: Hood Pins
Mine has popped from the stock latch and it was not a cheap non-fitting one. It's simple weight vs lift at speed. My pins held it though.Originally posted by RONDAL View Postthey still latch properly using the stock latch point. it's when you buy a cheap one and it doesn't fit right that you have to use pins.
If you don't use pins you're a fool.Geoff
