yeah.. spacers for sure. Soundsaround did mine without, and the windows hit the speakers when you roll them down.

Ya, you do need to run spacers for sure. Depending on what speakers you you might have to cut the mesh screen infront of the speakers aswell.(i used alpine type-x conponets upfront and type-r in the rear, and didnt have to cut the screens out, so it looks really clean. Which is what i was going for.)

A question that I am sure has been asked... But are all MKIV's 6.5" speakers in the doors? (obviously not the tweeters) and apparently you need some sort of spacers? If i am pulling out old speakers would I be able to scrap them off the oldies?
