I remember the last meet someone mentioned that one of the shops in calgary lets you try out the ecu program before you purchase it. Can someone shed some light on this?

Re: trial run with chipped mk4 stock
any place that does chipping should be able to give u a free 'few hour' trial, if no company did it i doubt id ever purchase anything from em.Last edited by Compton; 04-25-2008, 04:20 PM.Originally posted by RedMileDon't bug the receiver though, he's far to busy to help you out.Originally posted by Smarty39haha, thanks man...I take it you're the receiver lol?

Re: trial run with chipped mk4 stock
There is definitely a change... The rpms are now evenly spread out across the board and there is so much torque. The car feels strong now as opposed to being pulled up to speed. More pushing rather than pulling.Last edited by onepointeightdub; 04-25-2008, 04:30 PM.drive green ||

Re: trial run with chipped mk4 stock
I probably won't notice a difference between Revo and APR but I will definitely drop country hills toyota a call and check. I like the APR already but would like to browse before buying. Also I am wondering if there is an even more aggressive program out there. Although its pretty hard to pass up APR's sale. Then again im probably never going to run anything higher than 91 octane anywaysOriginally posted by Ryan View Postconcept1 does with APR and the country hills toyota (if they still do revo) does a 5 hour trial also

Re: trial run with chipped mk4 stock
Would it be worth it to buy the 93 Octane chip and treat premiumfuel with an octane booster such as toluene?
http://www.elektro.com/~audi/audi/toluene.html
Seems cost effective no?Last edited by Jam-T; 04-26-2008, 02:21 PM.

Re: trial run with chipped mk4 stock
If you search that topic im almost sure around here that you can get away with it just because of our elevation.. Something about the density of air? Although 93 octane is still not the same as 91 octane... i.e. 91 octane at calgary elevation doesnt make it 93 octane...Originally posted by Jam-T View PostWould it be worth it to buy the 93 Octane chip and treat premiumfuel with an octane booster such as toluene?
