  • Boost Issue

So i installed a FMIC, leaving me with exhaust,cai,FMIC....chip is to come next (i know it should have been first).
Anyways, my boost gauge spikes to 14 then drops right to 7 and slowly climbs. The most it will climb to is 9-10 and that is taking it close to red.
When i unplug the MAP sensor it boosts to 16 and holds it for a good 4 seconds then slowly goes down.
I obviously dont want to run without a MAP sensor...plus it runs like garbage without it.

    Anyone know why this is?

i actually just ran some sea foam through it and i have a small leak at the turbo but its always been like that. I have a feeling it just needs the chip. Adding a intercooler prob wont do much on exhaust and cai alone.

              Re: Boost Issue

There are no gains with a FMIC... you just keep the power you have longer. (no heatsoak) Even expect a slight loss as pressure will drop with the increase in volume to fill the FMIC

thats what i was thinking, however when its chipped it will be a very noticable difference wont it?

You'll be slower on quick jolts but more consistant on multiple passes.
