  • Chip experience with Auto/tip

I think I am going to get the Unitronic chip done on my Jetta. Alas it is an auto/tip (still not sure if I made the right decision buying it but I wanted my wife to be able to drive, and commuting downtown everyday I didn't feel like burning out a clutch every year in stop and go traffic)

Who here has had their auto/tip chipped? Just looking for some experiences. Chris suggested just the stage 1 and that was my thought anyhow as I don't want to be searching out 93+ octane fuel.

On a side note as well I guess.. does anyone find the tip acts a little odd at times? For the most part mine gives me absolute control but every once in a while even under hard acceleration it will automatically shifts from 2-3 @ ~3500RPM?

Thanks for the tips (no pun intended)

With my uped passat there is no change in the woking of the tranny that I can detect at all. Works great.
