Home Depot has real heavy duty Velcro that comes as strips in a cardboard box. The glue is real strong and is a real b***h to remove it later.

Meh...I just drilled 4 holes and used waffer screws to hold it in. I'm going to be swapping my Jetta front end for a Golf front end in the next few weeks so I hope he doesn't mind my little holes

    Semi Off-Topic:

Who carries 3M Heavy Duty Velcro in town??? Checked out Home Depot/Auto-Value/Canadian Tire/Wal-mart, and was unable to find velcro roll/strips.

I assume it comes in a roll just like the double sided tape?

    Any help would be appreciated.

Nah you're not the only one. I do the same thing. The plate covers the holes in the bumper anyways so why not

There are no stupid questions but try www.vwvortex.com and use the search function in their forums to get best results for what you are looking for, I usually go there before asking here, and if it comes to it *gulp* ill ask a question on there

This is how I did it, took a few times before i perfected the mounting of the plate. I was really satisfied with the hold, very strong and sturdy. Then I got sick of my europlate and ripped it off, had a nice fun time on a cold day peeling of the tape in chunks. I'll use a blow dryer next time.

I really like how you are the only one who thinks this is a stupid question, have you noticed everyone else has added something constructive?

Sorry I'm not "legit" enough YO.

I was more talking about exactly what the other guys did. Tricks tips what they used to hold it on.

But again I don't know what I would have done without your two cents.
