    Re: Body Kit

see....that would look soooo much better on the Jetta. Just slam that first body kit including the golf headlights into a Jetta to make it a Getta.

hahahaha Sweeeeeet! What pisses me off is that my setup actually looked better and was more organized in my old Jetta, but that one got T-boned and I had to strip the stereo out of it. I think if I spent a good hour or two I could probably bring this one back up to par. Just needs a little TLC. The rest of the car needs a good container of armorall. Anyone want to detail it for me? I got Stella's!!!

My very first full car stereo installation took about 35 hours because I had never done a complete one. I never did read any manuals or forums, but I am an electrician by trade and done lots of audio fiddeling for years.

My biggest project was installing my new double din Pioneer deck. That was an interesting task.
Would be good to see your setup too. I'l try and make the May meetup.

DJ, I wouldnt mind taking a look at your setup. Are you gonna be at the may Meeting?

I could show you some pictures of my install, there maybe even some on the forums still. I am even thinking of selling the box and subs and building a new one this summer. That being said if you are going to do it yourself at least do it right and read a ton of stuff. When I did the Van it took likely over 40-50hours just to wire the alarm/speaker/headunit etc and modify speaker mounts etc. Hopefully this summer I can finish fiberglassing the dash speaker mounts and start the sub box.

If you want I can show you my car stereo install with my 4 crossovers mounted on the underside of the trunk, my amps on the back seat and my sat radio and capacitor on the back seat as well.I really like the setup. If you get someone else to do it, I hope they know what their doing. I could never let someone else take my car apart to do my car stereo. I couldn't trust that everything would be the same way it was before. That's just me though :P
