Hood Insulation

Any downside to ditching the insulation stuck to the underside of my hood? It is thicker than a crazy assed wool sweater and a bit saggy in spots. I would love to pitch it.

i took mine off last summer... made no difference other then the snow melting on the hood in the winter

Thanks. Just took it off. Holy crap that stuff is pretty thick.

i took mine off this summer too.. i think it made a bit of a difference on the -30 weather. my car didnt start twice this winter.. first time its happened.. i still didnt put it back on tho haha

if ur engine catches fire ur hooped however i ditched it on my 1.8t and you can hear the turbo spooling much louder.
