  • New to the forum is this the place to start?!

    Hey,

So im 18 currently at U of C!!! I own a 2009 VW Rabbit, hopefully want to do some modding on it! And maybe Ill come out to the Febuary meet?! Do any of you guys do vagcom?
I was wanting to know where the best place to get parts installed on my rabbit, or if any of you guys will do it for a price?
I was also wondering if anyone has a rear sway bar/springs from an MKV GTI?
Im looking at adding a torque mount first, then hopefully springs/sway to reduce body roll, and maybe a lip for aesthetics! Thats alot of cash Maybe i can buy some used!
Already checked some of the stuff out on here great cars!!!

Check out vortex for used stuff, just gotta keep your eyes peeled.

Calgary Auto Works and TuneDub are always good for mechanical stuff and some other things, depending on what it is.

Also a lot of guys on here are willing to help (or so I think).

    But welcome!

First off welcome. Since you are still young and likely new to modding cars in general I would take some time and do lots and lots of reading before you start spending money. Once you get some knowledge you can develop a road map with what you want to get out of your car.

Yeah for sure! I'm originally from south Africa so I've definitely a decent drover I lived on a farm out there. Firsly for my rabbit I just want to get rid of all this body roll! It can be pretty bad at times. And the torque mount to just even out some shifts and help when accelerating from 1st because of slot of wheel hop. Sound good? What would you guys do first?
              Thanks for the welcome guys!

thanks guys! Yeah the suspension is definitely not great on the rabbit! so thats why i want to get some of those parts. I sent tunedub a message so maybe they can help me out.
Ugh ironic this happens today, but at school looks like some dick backed in to me and peaced! Luckily theres only one little crease in my hood, and some scratches in my 3m clear bra. I've already had the bra patched before from someone, doesn't look awesome... and now it looks like ill have to get it done again, but the bottom sheet looks like it all his to be replaced. Im thinking i may just leave it like it is for awhile untill myabe its really beat up, because i dont feel like paying the money right now, as its soooo expensive to replace. Heres some pics I took after i washed it to see whats wrong, the bottom scratch is really that black. Sorry crappy iphone pics :(
