i took the AR out last night with the garbage pirelli allseason allroads it has.. they suck ass in the snow.. esp was going off nonstop (although i was pushing the car) turned esp off and you could hear the diff locks kick in everytime i launched around a corner.. winter tires going on next week for sure

Me too, blizzaks + no ESP + non-judicious throttle = sever goonyness. Even with ESP I still have to be reasonable with the gas.

i want to do it with a few audi's. if anyone knows any locations i am more than happy to freeze my ass off in the snow with a camera shooting from a distance.

cant be done on a road its just not safe. need either a MASSIVE parking lot, or an airstrip

like that b6 s4 video posted earlier.. i'd love to freaking try that!! going like 80-100 and turning like that is NUTS.. i always think when they do that stuff on top gear the car will roll not slide..

i heard city is gonna use less rocks and more salt now, anyone chime in??

while temperatures are where they are right now its fine to use salt and no rocks. Problem becomes when the temp goes below like -15 to -20ish salt isn't effective at melting the snow anymore as it just continually freezes, and using gravel becomes necessary.
