  • Wheel Offset Q

So im picking up some new wheels for my Mk2, and before i buy them (no chance to test fit) i have a question. What is the min offset needed to clear G60 brakes? The old wheels were 16x7 +32 and i test fit a set that was 15x8 +24 and they were fine. The wheels i am looking at are 15x8 +20, and i think they should work fine (i think anything above +15 is good to go), but i just want to double check. As having a set of $1500 wheels that dont fit would be a tad upsetting.

    Thanks!

    Re: Wheel Offset Q

Totally depends on the wheel/spoke design.

Yeah when it comes to clearing brakes, you can't tell. When people ask about offset its to tell how the edge of the wheel will be in relation to the fender. But it may or may not clear the brakes. You need to find someone who has tried to fit that exact wheel.

If you have room for spacers then that hedges your bets a bit. If you get an offset where you could never run spacers then good luck
