Re: TDI Question - Diesel Additive
no idea on how to clean the intake. dont think i will ever know. lol
ya, since i've increased my iq (injection quantity) this adds more fuel per stroke, giving somewhat more power, and a little more smoke. the additive reduces smoke i think, and the style you drive the car. i never floor it under 2,000rpm. boy racer, who is the upp rep has a tdi, and people say his car smokes like crazy. he doesnt use additive i dont think, i did give him a bottle, but i forgot to ask if he noticed anything different.
a euro cluster may reduce smoking!
ahah, no.

I haven't noticed any smoke at all but after driving my '85 diesel anything would be good in comparison. I am planning on doing rear brakes and cleaning the intake soon so if anyone wants to join me for an intake cleaning day let me know and I can set it up. From what I have read about the cleaning it is not all that hard and I have all the tools except a plier hose clamp and a large large heated bay to work in.
If it's smoken it ain't broken
