    Re: Beetle R Concept

I wouldn't be driving a powerful car for mileage in the first place. To me the feeling of moving the shift lever and clutch pedal, then cranking on the gas again, it's all part of the driving experience. Sure it may be fast, but wheres the fun in just pressing the go pedal...

Who cares about milage when you are buying a car meant to be sporty and fun? dsg gets you no where near the excitement level of a manualy tranny, sure it can shift a little quicker and get you good mileage, but you wont have a big grin on your face the whole time your driving it.

        Faster is relative.

Are you ripping laps of the 'ring?

Or are you just having a little bit of excitement on the street?

I am with James May, the 'ring ruins cars for the rest of us. Just so a pissing war of how fast a car will do something, that will likely never do in its lifetime, but for some reason is a gold standard among auto makers.
