  • Tail light woes.

Anyone know the size of the nuts that hold the tail lights in place? It seems one has dislodged itself and has gone missing.

    Yay.

You could always take one off the other size and bring it into home depot. They usually have thread size checkers there with a whole bunch of labelled threads sticking out from a board so you can thread it on and match it.

Should be an 8mm. Unsure of the thread pitch.

I hate those nuts, the ones on the far inside are a ***** to tighten.

I have come up with two methods:

Either push the tail light in from the outside and turn nut as tight as you can by hand then let go of the tail light, the foam will hold it tight, never have had one come loose with this.

Or a little 8mm ratchet wrench from canadian tire works really well too.

I think the one actually wasn't tightened enough, and rattled off over time.
