  • New Forge 007P DV installed!

Went down to Concept1 and picked up the silver forge 007P DV with spring kit. With the original spring my higher rpm's dont nose dive after 4800RPM's now. It holds and gradually decreases. My Old 710N DV was busted, the spring didnt even align up right when taking it out and looking at it. Drove it all the way home gunning it down the roads =) (purely testing)
It feels nice to be back in super turbo mode =) brings a tear to my eye =*(

The spring will only change the boost behavior when you shift.

Kris, Do you know if they make spring kits for the 006 DV? or should i just shim it?

The major difference with this DV is it feels like im going through my gears quicker. The DV must've been bad for quite sometime.

However when I accelerate and then lightly let off the gas it sounds like something is fluttering. Its either my CAI or DV.

Dale: As far as I know there is no spring kit for the 006. Since the valve is bigger I am guessing that the springs are different size. I would just shim it. The Forge spring-kit that I have for the 007 actually comes with shims (washers) that you can use along with the springs they give you.

Re: New Forge 007P DV installed!

                        Ohhhh gooodness,

I did some checking with boost levels with normal and reversed.

I was expecting lower boost levels with reveresed but it showed it was holding a higher PSI at all RPM levels.

Normal DV way my boost was holding around 14.5-15
                        Reversed was holding 15.5-16

Peak was the same around 20.5-21.5PSI

But the funniest was the damn chirp in reversed. Sounds like a dying bird in my car.

Overall if your looking to get noticed with some weird freaking sounds go with reversed.... performance wise its not that much of a difference. I'm gonna leave it reversed for a while and see how it performs.

                        Peace out.
