  • 2006 Jetta - will not shift in to any gear!

    Hi,
This is my sister's car. 2006 Jetta TDI, automatic. It will not shift in to any gear, and the gear display on the dash "P R N D S" is flashing. Any ideas??

    Thanks!

Notoriously (sad to say) PRNDS Flashing is the first indication of a blown Transmission Control Module (TCM).

This is likely although the TSB i mentioned says there can be a wiring fault regarding the module as well. So hopefully there is a chance the module itself is still ok. Either way, they decided to tow the car to Cranbrook, so i'm sure they will figure it out.
