  • It's NOT too late to get a Golf R - Think outside the box

    Hi All,

This is a public service annoucement from a fellow VW enthusiast.

I just put deposit down on an open Golf R allocation yesterday night.....yes January 3rd, 2012! According to my info from various Dealers in Alberta....."there are only 4 left of the 500 allocations" and "none in Alberta" .

Well this is a large load of BS, as I found out !!!!

After getting dicked around by one "backwoods" dealer too many, I decided that enough was enough. So I put on my "Superman Cape" (figuratively speaking), cracked my knuckles, and got to work. Sorry, guys I can't explain how I got the information (I'd have to ..... you know......), but I easily found no less than 13 open allocations in less than 30 minutes. So I bet there are plenty more for anyone truly wanting an R!!!

If you are stuck on a list at some dealership in hopes that some guy won't claim his (or her) Golf R (in a colour you don't like), feel free to PM me, and I will freely share my information on where to get one for yourself. What flippin' colour do you want?

Again, this is a free service to help you get a Golf R too. I gain nothing from this but to hear about your awesome new R !

    Cheers!

I've been lied to by all VW dealerships when I wanted to buy a GTI because they did not want to budge on price. A few weeks later, they each had the exact car I wanted on the lot. Not surprising about the R's...

Could you PM me the available colors and pricing on those 13 open allocations? My brother is entertaining the idea of selling his 2010 GTI for a Golf R.

            Thanks

Hey R28, I've been on the list since March to get my Golf R but I can't get a straight answer as to when it will arrive. As it seems you have means to procure seemingly top-secret inside information, do you have any idea when they are actually going to arrive?
