    Re: R32 Roll Call

i have not pulled an ecu on the R yet but i did on my b5 S4 and on my mk4 gti, both were very simple and quite easy, there should be a DIY on vortex for how to do it but like i said, very easy and only takes 2-3 mins max.

how much does it cost to have your ecu taken out? what was the turn around time..?

might do this while i get some work done on my car before i track it again. (sleeping beauty)

Hard to say since I went from a stock intake, but on Vortex in the .:R32 forums, its V-flow or nothing. I just went with majority vote. Absolutely no complaints here though.

Sorry to hijack but how do you like the vflow intake? Was thinking of getting one for my gli and have heard mixed things.

Whats up guys, been in Mexico for the past couple weeks so i've been out of the loop. Here's my tamed beast lol

    Summer Mode:

Winter Mode (the way she's meant to be driven):

    Mods:

    18x8.5 RS6 Replicas
    20mm Spacers in the back
UM NA Flash with Launch Control
    EVOMS V-Flow Intake
    Polished J Caps
    Koni Coilovers
    Bluewater Adjustable Lower Control Arms
    Crossdrilled Rotors
    Euro OEM taillights
    Euro Ecode Headlights
    Curpa R Lip
    Stubby Rear Headrests
    Fulltime Flapper Mod

    Future Mods:
    Custom Stereo System
    HID Retrofits
    Exhaust
    Sway Bars
    Turbo (one day lol)

As for those asking about the UM tune, we (Myself, SLHazy and GINCH) sent our ECU's to Gabe at Bluewater Performance down in Colorado. Gabe's customer service was outstanding and he was great to deal with. Tune was $299, Launch Control was an extra $100.

To the guys who have the UnitedMotorsports tune in their .:R, how did you go about getting it flashed in? Im thinking of going with the guy in BC to do it as he is the only Canadian dealer for UM but I wanted to see what everyone else went with

Jealous. If I had an R it would be out in the snow! Cars were made to be driven, drive them.

Agreed! Plus VW designed the front bumper as a super effective snow scoop anyways. Might as well use it people!
