  • MK6 Jetta GLI ESP button

Unless the world ends today I will be picking up a 2012 Jetta GLI today. The only thing that is missing is the ESP button even though there is the ability to turn it off. A few minutes on the interweb and I found a solution.

In my mind why would VW not put the button in the GLI. Is it present in the MK6 GTI?

I have it in my GTI. Not sure why VW is doing all kinds of weird things with it lately. Canadian Golf R's are able to fully turn it off but not the US ones.

This is a must! My jetta got stuck this winter, and the inability to spin the tires was a PITA.

^^^^ My thoughts exactly. I am sure it will happen at least once every winter.

I've never had to turn off the traction control in my GTI to get unstuck in the winter

I have only ever turned it off to try an official 0-100.

I haven't in my golf either. Our jetta got high centered backing out of my friends driveway this winter due to a snow drift. The ability to spin my tires on my underpowered 2.slow would have saved me 30min and digging out the car. For city driving its not that big of a deal.

Did this install 1 month ago and is super easy to do, hardest part was running the wire through the firewall but once that is through you are good to go. Nice to give those unused buttons some kind of function even if you dont plan to use it besides who doesnt like donuts in the winter
