        Re: Clicker troubles

Spray some contact cleaner in the turn signal stalk. It happens because the contact gets dirty and sticks after you use the signal.

I have a hazard relay you can try.

Otherwise contact cleaner in the stalk.

I had this on my old MK4. Electric contact cleaner helps..

Check out old thread on where to spray.

No not on the hazard switch. Although that's where the clicking comes from, the problem is actually in the turn signal stalk on your steering column. You need to spray it in there to clean it out so the contact doesn't stick

The electric contact cleaner trick will work for about 6-8 months before the clicking returns, but as a $8 cost vs a $200+ cost, I think its much more worth just spraying the cleaner in there every once in a while.

On my Mk4, it stayed good for a couple years. Results may vary! Definitely spray a whack of cleaner in there before you replace the stalk though. Seems like a 9/10 chance it will help.

It's seemed to stop after replacing the relay and drowning the stalk in contact clear, thanks though mech (:
