He is running Stage 2 Revo, it hauls ass. Clutch is recommended for stage 3 but not a requirement.

Okay, I've just heard of people having clutches fail even with a stage 1 tune.. maybe I'm just worrying too much.
Gonna get a clutch eventually, just deciding tune before clutch or not

It does happen, I would tend to lean towards a manufacturing defect, but the dealer will never go for that. We haven't had any clutches go as a result of stage 1/2 tunes on the 2.0T's at CAW.

I still have my factory clutches. Gotta love DSG haha

New South Bend (or something like that) seem to be pretty popular over on Vortex.

Yeah the 6MT's are hit or miss. You DSG guys are lucky.

I believe stock 6speed dsg can hold 350nm of torque because the transmission code is MQ350, at least on the Passat it works that way. 7speed MQ250 holds 250nm

Does any one else think that the pedal travel is very long in these cars?

                          That's not very much torque at all. 350 N/m is about 260 ft/lb and 250 N/m is about 185 ft/lb.

Yeah if I'm not horribly misinformed I think even the guys running 400hp+ still have stock dsg

Not sure where you heard that, but that's far from the truth. If it were, my transmission would have died long ago. The DSGs in these cars are good up to about 550HP
