  • MK IV homelink

Does anyone know if there are extra mods to be done to make homelink work in a non-homelink '03 GTI? Found some descent prices on the homelink sunvisor, but not sure if I need to run power wires, antennae, or something else to make it work, or if it's just plug and play. Anyone done this mod? If there is much more to it I will get a generic one off EBay and attach it to the sunroof console like Rob did in his R32.

I have the parts right now, i'm just to lazy to do it. I'm following this DIY. http://forums.vwvortex.com/showthrea...melink-Visor-*

Yeah, looking to see if I pay a little more for the OEM visor, if it's plug and play. If not I'll go the route you linked above

The one thing that I really liked about the homelink is that it would not work if the car was off, which means people don't get in your car and open the garage at night ect.
