  • 1979 Bettle Helps

    Hey,

My dad just bought a 1979 Beetle convertible, it has 34 XXX miles on it.
The cars body is in fantastic condition(just need a new top), same with the interior.

My question is where do you guys recommend I take it to check what is wrong with the engine, and roughly how much it will cost me to get it fixed.

Also where can I get a new top for it? (either new or used just has to be in good condition, and black)

Might be simple questions but this is my first time dealing with a Beetle, and don't know much about them.

    Thank you
I will post pictures when I get the car towed to the house.

Yay aircooled! I can get lots of parts for them, inc the top. My familys shop is great with air cooled as well. Stevo Auto Clinic. Cost completely depends on what is wrong
