St speedtech coilover?

I'm looking at a set for roughly $1000. Is this a good deal? Anyone have experience with these ?

UPDATE: I need something that I can raise back up to stock height or maybe a little higher for the winter since I'll be using it a bit. Is there such a set of coils available?

We went over this in the other thread, coils are not meant to go higher unless maybe you are looking at a set for gravel rally or something which then you are into race suspension which is bags or more money territory

like we went over in the other thread....

why are you scared to run bags for winter.... and if you really want to raise your gti for winter, go get stock mk4 suspension and do a full suspension install every winter/spring if you really want to be higher.

Solowerks if all you want is fixed dampening height adjustable, it goes pretty high up front, I'm more than half way down the threads in the front and rear is all the way up. Best part about them is how they will not seize up and handles amazing, that's if you're at a reasonable height.

I would trust ST Coilovers over any other budget brand.. seeing that they are basically KW V1 with a different shock body.

Unless you plan on going off roading in the winter I dont really understand the point. Many of us drive lowered cars year round without any issues. If anything get a skid plate.

I drive a MKIV TDI Golf, live in the snow filled rocky mountain valley known as Kananaskis...I run ST yellow coilovers...crank them UP in the fall, spin em down in the spring, and have yet to get hung up or stuck.
