Got my GLI transmission out a few minutes ago. I picked up a replacement clutch disc but this one is still pretty good - I'll use the new one anyway and won't bother switching flywheels...




Bentley specs on the GLI (fzq) -vs- TT (dqb) specs that I found online. I'm tempted to pull the 1st & 2nd gears out of the FZQ but whoever buys it probably wouldn't appreciate that...

Not personally we have the kits in stock at CAW though, probably putting them on everything this year.

Thanks guys - I've already ordered a belt and slightly different tensioner setup from PagParts that I've been wanting to try. I'll post up some pics of a couple things I've bought when they're in hand.

While I was cruising to work the other day (doing 100 down Deerfoot) and heard a clanging sound like I ran over something... turned out to be the lower idler roller from my manual TB tensioner coming off and bouncing out of the engine bay. Despite the belt missing a chunk out of it - it stayed on... didn't break... or even skip a tooth

Sooo... I was changing the oil the other day and noticed a little something. Call it a hunch, but I don't think the TB is supposed to look like this...

I've been really busy with work so I haven't been doing much with the car except driving around... nothing's exploded yet though so that's pretty sweet. I did fab up a temporary exhaust a while back - it's pretty loud but still better than before...






Did something glorious today . Hooked up my e.brake - haven't had on in about a year...

Cool, thanks. I've definitely broke a tab or two off the connector housings during removal - wouldn't mind putting fresh ones on one of these days... on the list it goes.

Theres a few of us that have sets if you ever need them in the future, myself included. Come in quite handy
