  • ECU Flash Version Question

So my Passat had several ECU flashes several years back to correct glow plug issues. The went from a 7v plug, to a 5v plug, then back to a 7v plug. Each needing a flash to reconfigure the voltage.

Is there a visible version number that I can see with a VAG COM? And if so, how would I figure out if I have the latest flash?

I just want to be sure that I have the latest 7v flash, and not the older 5v one.

    Re: ECU Flash Version Question

It should have the part number then a S000X (X being the software version number).

You won't be able to tell from that but the guys at Malone should be able to tell you which ones you should have.

      I'll ask Mark. That's a good idea.
