McWang reached out to me a couple of weeks ago and offered me a pretty slick upgrade from his shop Infamous Aero! Fitment is on point and blends perfectly with the mk7 styling IMO.

I'll upload some better pics later but these will do for now.

Hey guys...so has anyone tried to have this done locally???

    From Vortex...

"Today I was finally able to get the performance monitor on my 2016 Golf R.

Let me first dispel some rumors.

NO you can't do this yourself, you will need to take your car into a dealership to do this. Anybody who says they can do it and its not a dealership is lying.
NO you can't use RossTech/Vagcom/VCDS to enable this.
NO it is not a coding change.
NO it is no an adaptation change.

How the new MIB system works is every NAV radio is capable if every function they just need to be "unlocked".

For example, a 2016 Golf with Nav, but does not have Bluetooth is capable of it, it just needs a special key to activate it. This is the case of the performance monitors. To enable them, your dealership needs to open a Helpline ticket and get a FES code to release the function.

THIS IS THE ONLY WAY TO DO IT. You need to use a factory scan tool.

This code is no something I can provide as each code is unique and is one time use.

    *DISCLAIMER*
Each dealership is different, some may tell you to go pack cheese because it is not worth their time. Others will be more than willing to help."

    Thanks!!

Cleaned her up a little bit and got a couple of pics with the winters. I think the RS6 reps look better on Katya than on Heidi!

So winters went on last Friday as the snow started falling. Pretty happy that my winters from Heidi fit almost perfectly on Katya!
