Surging

Does this count as some crazy surging?

Boost spike 20PSI drops immediately to 13 PSI then back to 15psi back to 13 psi then up to 15 psi and settles?

This happens in every gear now when i go WOT.

I traded n75 valves with Dale. I had the J and put the H in. also my DV might need some lubing =) But its never been holding boost properly ever since getting a chip.

IMO the "H" aka "race" N75 valve just makes a car slower, the only reason so many people like it is because they think that peak boost is somehow related to speed or horsepower. "I spike to 22psi!"

Yup.... I hate peak. I want pure sustained boost. Im definitely gonna swithc back with dale. The funny thing is though with my Stock F valve i spike to 16 and I dont hold as long as I would with the J or H. But I would rather spike 16 hold forever! Dare to dream =)

Well, if your turbo could deliver 16 psi to redline, your fueling would go lean and your engine would explode Also boost going up then falling back down is good as long as it only happens once....

I can't remember if yours is Tiptronic or manual? When I was first Up'ed I was surging as well. I switched from the "F" N75 to the "C" and that got rid of most of the surging. I just got a newer program from Simon a few months ago and I have no surging what so ever. You may want to check in with Simon to see if they is a new program available for your ECU code.

Simons looking for a fix =) EUTUNING all the way! Im also getting low requested boost amount and my actual doesnt seem to keep up with it.
