Bending the heatshield

Well with my new softer forge mounts the downpipe is hitting the heatshield a little. I was wondering if anyone knows if its easy to bend or to completely remove?

yes it is easy to remove, khyron took his right off when we did his SAMCO hose. just a couple bolts holding it on.

Someone on the tex said that this increases the temp of some steering part? Is it safe to just take that mofo right off?

well its obviously there for a reson so if you take it off its going to raise the temperature somewhat, but its up to you if its worth it though.

but, it is easy to take off.
