  • MPG on a 2000 jetta 1.8t

    OK, so im on MY first tank of gas with the car, it got the 5spd standard and i have 207 miles and under a quarter tank left from the fill up, this seems to of gone down extremly fast, i was expecting some very impressive numbers, and to me theese arent that great, is this normal??

    I wouldn't really look at it until after at least 4 or 5 fills. You should be around 23-26 city, 29-30 highway depending how hard on it you are.

      cold weather affects mileage - i think, noticed considerable decrease on my truck.

        I averaged about 27MPG overall......its noticably less now though...
