The Wilwood caliper only weight like 2.5 lbs.

Somehow in the past when I did a 130km/h to 0km/h stop my rear passenger seats just snap off the locks and fold down. My neck was hearting a bit.

So when you do a big brake upgrade like this, do you not also need to do somethign on the rear to balance out the extra forward stopping power? Seems odd to leave the rear brakes stock.

Most of the braking power is generated at the front. For VW is about 80%, rear is 20%. The power distributions do not change with better front brakes. You are able to upgrade the rears but the advantage is minimal. Depends on the combo of the calipers and pads you put together. The potential danger of the rear brake upgrade is the rear wheels lock up sooner than the front. That is a big mistake(danger) when come to handling of a car. Some responsible high performance pads manufacturers do advise driver to use the same compound on all corners because of the same theory. Some brake pads you can get are extremely aggressive with high friction coefficient.

The suggestion from Ryan can be done. Beside the money factor that the TT rear brakes are costly, I think the package will introduce the upsprung weight for the rear which is not ideal.

I agree that the RPI kit is pretty much the best value for big brakes.
