    Well the turbo is out. Boy are my arms sore! The person who engineered the oil and coolant lines going behind the turbo needs a kick in the junk! I will call it a day and slide the new one in tomorrow. The bearing was a rough on the impeller shaft. Hopefully this cures the noise. Oh well we will see tomorrow.

      Again, in English please? So you actually saw something in the old turbo that may have been causing the noise? I certainly hope that's the sole source of the problem or we'll have replaced my entire engine by the time it's solved!

          Just got in to work, 8:21am. Sipping on my Venti Caramel Macciato and munching on a White chocolate blueberry scone. Just checking my email and such. To answer your question about the bearing being rough on the impeller shaft here is a picture of a common turbocharger.



          The impeller bearing sits between the two halves of the turbo supporting and allowing the shaft to turn. If the bearing gets worn, it will allow the impeller shaft to move slightly and it will be noisey. I'm sure someone will fill in the blanks if I missed anything Well, Back to work!

            You could have called me Mr.Turbo yesterday! LOL! My arms were so dirty because of the Yoga manuvers I had to do to get the oil/coolant lines off the back of the turbo. GRRRR... It should be more fun getting them back on. GRRRR...

                          Nope nothing, just that low coolant light, but the only problem was it uh...needed more coolant, haha.

                                Let me know a price too I would love to have one. My old coverals don't fit anymore. I think last time I had a pair I was a 46tall or something like that.
