The air has already been metered - by dumping it you are screwing up your ratio and will most likely run richer. The dv/bov hybrids work by dumping a portion of the air and recirculating the rest, which is half assed but better than nothing.
Is the noise really that important? A reversed DV and a CAI makes a pretty mean whistle. Of course, you can also buy this.

Ok fine, I didn't notice it was Chad. But even the BT guys who vent say it's for sound reasons, not performance. And that's assuming his maf is unplugged. But with that, I'll politely bow out.Originally posted by Kor

I agree with what youre saying, Geoff. I'm having a custom intake and fmic made and am just trying a couple things. Wanted some opinions, and no, I'm not doing this for the whistle
