    Re: Interior cleaning... what products?

I also use Protectant 303 which can be bought at Lordco in Canada. Not sure if Lordco is in the states? I find that the black leather is quite flat and that most sprays don't really bring out any shine.

For a great glass cleaner, Bonami (spelling?) is great! I used it on my glass, inside and out and it shined a checkered purply/blue haze in the sun. Looked great. Only problem is that Bonami is hard to find. I can't seem to be able to find it any more. It's been around for ages though, way before windex. Windex sux.

Damn now I have to look up where the lordcos are in town. I think they are the only ones to carry it now as partsource doesn't anymore.

I picked up some 303 at crappytire last night. I also grabbed a handheld steamer for $40 from Stupidstore. Clean clean clean, here we come!

Let me know how that steam cleaner works I have always been tempted by one of those, thought it would be great for the engine bay. I also am a big fan of Bon Ami glass cleaner, I used to get it at Canadian Tire in the household cleaning section, but have not got any for a while.

I was up at the one off 64th Avenue NE.

They had a leather cleaner as well if I do recall. There was a big ladder in my way so I couldn't see things very well.

I'll keep you posted on the steam cleaner thing as well. For reference, here's what I picked up... BTW, it's LOUD as heck!

I've been doing a little research online, and I might take back this cleaner before I use it on my car. the problem it has is that the sprayer isn't continuous. You have to spray it like an iron to get the solution to come out. I'll keep looking and let you guys know what I come up with.

What about cleaning the Headliner and A-pillar, I bumped the headliner with a dirty snowbrush and I put a dirty hand on the A-pillar, I have no clue what to use to clean it without wrecking the fabric.

Brake cleaner works like a charm on headliners and pillars.

Worked as a detailer for 4 years. 2 of them at Northland. We used brake cleaner on most stains. It is pretty harmelss, evaporates almost instantly taking nasty stains with it. There were a few occasions where it didn't work, but not many.

makes sense when i worked at nw acura when i was in school we used to spray each other with brake cleaner all the time and it didn't wreck any clothes

so whats the best stuff to use on my leather? I noticed its not looking very "fresh" anymore...can notice more of a scaley pattern and they look kind of dried out (I think thats the best way to word it?) near stitching and seams. I want these seats to look super black but with very little shine (ie: fresh off the showroom floor look). Any tips? I will condition the seats once I come back to calgary, can you guys recommend any products? is it necessary to use any sort of wipes on a regular basis or is a damp rag sufficient?
Also, will the 303 restore that same kind of black/showroom look to my dash? It also looks kind of "dried out"/whitish/notblack. May sound like stupid questions but I've never had a car with a matte finish on the dash before.
