Paint/Install Springs?

Just wondering if anyone can recommend a good body shop where I can get a quote on painting my lowers, and a new front spoiler?

Also, where would you recommend I get my new springs installed? Or should I tackle this myself?

I would do suspension yourself...its not hard, and the alignment on the front end of these cars won't be affected, at least not need to be adjusted afterwards unless you really mess up bad....We did 2 cars in 8 hours, the first taking the initial 6 hours for learning curve, and after that its a breeze.....As for paint, we do have a deal going at Rudy's paint and autobody in the NE, but I'm not sure what the general concensus has been lately in terms of quality of work from them.....

The good thing about them is they will fix it if you have a problem with it.

I am very happy with the painting I had down it is a very good job Changes the look of the car a lot. If I could get my hands on a digital camera I would post some pics of also if it stopped rainy it would help.

What did you get painted? How long did it take? What was the price?

Front and rear valences, Mirror arms not the heads themselves and Mudflaps It was $620 + taxes. They said it would be 2 1/2 daysbut it took them 3 1/2 they said they got busy. Didn't have the bumper inserts painted but they could put a mesh it but I didnt want cause it would be permanent.

I have a front spoiler and grill on order....both will need painting when they arrive, and I want to get the sides and rear lower painted at the same time. I will definately check out highlineautocustom.

Did you get other quotes before you got it done?

Yeah I got some other qoutes but they were pretty close and Highline does a lot of high end cars. They are going to have some cars at SCN. A guy at work had some work done there and he was happy (very picky) and his gf spilt a jug of juice in her car and they didn't charge him for the cleaning it.

Highline does a lot of high end cars and one of them was mine .. They did a very good job on the car.. And some of the cars that I see that go in and out of there are big buck,, these guys dont mess around.. Btw I seen your car there LARS. I work right across from the place. And the place that did my paint was Power Chief Auto Body. these guys are hard core VW guys, Give those guys a call. you'll like there work..

And some of the cars that I see that go in and out of there are big buck,, these guys dont mess around.. Btw I seen your car there LARS. I work right across from the place. So you have had your car painted at both Highline and Power Chief Auto Body, and Power Chief specializes in VW?

I seen your car there also it was parked outside so wasn't sure if you were getting some work done or not. Who did you deal with Danny or Jay? (not sure if the name is right?) I dealt with Danny and he was very good picked me up ang dropped me off and said if I needed a ride he wuold give me one.
