What are your thoughts on this?

Was out today to look at a 2002 Golf that the girlfriend is interested in. It has 83,000 kms, and excellent condition inside and good shape outside. Besides it being a black car and that you car see most of the problems in the paint (scratches and dings). It’s a 2.0L, automatic, 2 doors, aftermarket cd player, keyless entry, a/c, no power windows, pretty much a basic golf. She's asking $13,900 with room to move. She wants it sold asap because she's moving to the States.

Just wondering what you guys think....is it a good deal??

The black paint can be buffed, take it to a professional and it will come out okay.

I think $14K is a little high since it is totally basic with a 2.0L, but thats just me, I am not saying I know what they go for.

wurd, I would not pay $14g for barebone 2.0L

They go for more than that on autotrader, so seems reasonable.
