Anyone ever come up with a way to replace just the VW factory CD player with an aftermarket receiver...leaving the radio/CD changer/Phatbox control component (the lower one) in place? There's gotta be a way...

If you have a seperate din CD player that is essentially your cd changer to you can't hook up a phatbox or trunk cd changer anyways.Originally posted by dubs_17Name: Brent

no, you have map cds which contain gps coordinates, then antenna sends that info the unit, and it shows where you are...2002 VW Golf GT TDI

The map cd has coords of Saskatoon that are sent to the satellite via the antenna and the map shows up on the screen? How often do you have to put a cd in and how many cds are there?Originally posted by bart
