  • need new summers (tyres)

been looking at the ventus v12 evo or the ventus v4.

mainly city driving but goin to be doin quite a few BC road trips this summer.
i would like something grippy but dont need track levels of grip.

looking to spend around 1000 bucks for 4.
anyone have anyother suggestions on what to get?

    235/40/18 on a 2002 a4 quattro

    thanks

I have the V12's and havent had any complaints...
Tunerworks was pretty damn close to TireRack prices as well.

Take a look at the Federal SS-595 UHP.They sell for about 700.00 or less including all taxes.Customers are pretty pleased.

The V12 is definitely a nice product if you are looking for a street level sport tire... The V4 is more all season"ish" and will not give you quite as crisp of handling characteristics...

My vote goes to the Continental ExtremeContact DW. They will be more expensive than the General tires mentioned, but probably comperable in price to the Hankook V12s. Very good performance tire for the money and they are lighter than most tires in that size. We've sold quite a few and everyone has been very happy with them.
