Thanks to everyone who came out to pitch in or just stand around and eat my cupcakes. Anyway I am not finished my car so I will be down there for 10 this morning and to work on the display a bit too! I hope there will be enough people to cover the show this afternoon and evening, and I hope we do well too!!!

Man the cupcakes!! I didn't even get one! Oh well. I'd be up for manning the booth for a couple hours or something it's just gonna get expensive because I need to pay for parking again, plus pay to get in again, plus do it all over again on Sunday when you guys tear down. I'd be willing to get a weekend parking pass but if someone thinks they wont be using their extra pass today (or maybe saturday if I don't have a wedding), perhaps I could get in on that.

Tell you what, Jason. Give my ride-less carcass a lift to wow tonight, and I'll pay for parking, and maybe even addmission.

I'm gonna come by tomorrow. I live in Mission so it's an easy walk. If you see a bald guy with black jeans and jacket, white shoes, and a digicam, that's me.

I'll be at WoW at 9am tomorrow or maybe 9:30 if im late, but its all good.

I'll stay all day, as long as we can go out and grab a few beers at the end!

Sunday I may just turn up exclusively to help clean up at the end of the show, so I will give my pass to someone tomorrow night.

By the way if you want FREE PARKING in the stampede grounds, you can walk over to Elbow casino and get a ticket for when you arrived. Then, see the show. Then at the end, walk back to elbow casino and show your ticket... they will hand you a validated parking stub for a full refund when you leave the stampede grounds (supposedly). They do this since they think you've been gambling. My friend says he does this every time he sees any shows down there. I haven't tried, I have a pass until Sunday.

I still think the display rocked. The drive-inn was nice but that driving surface must have been $$$. Just glad someone beat Mopar and their 5 year old wood.

The mustang club hands-down had the best display, with both the floor and their free popcorn and the entertainment they provided all weekend.

The model A guys supposedly used the same backdrop as previously used, but nonetheless it was well done and I am guessing that there is nothing lost for re-using a display as long as it looks nice. I liked their manequin and the old broken down car they showed on the back-side. It definitely was better than ours and deserved the 2nd.

The mopar guys always come up with a physically big display but I am also glad they lost for a change, I am sure 3rd was a close call between them and us.

Well let me thank Ryan, Simon, Mark, Brent and Chad for putting in their cars and time for the show. Also a big thank to Kris, Chris, Jason, Alex, Simon and Derick for putting in tons of help with setting up, taking down and running the display, and most importantly Bart for supervising us through it. Together we made this the best NVD show to date with all the awards and tons of interest for the cars and club.

I think the display awards are justified as the Mustang club was super cool but their list of display sponsor companies is longer then our list of members. I think you need a large structure or something to get the big time but maybe with the rule changes next year things will be better. I think in all fairness every club competing should have the same size space and number of cars to help make it a better contest. Anyway I still think we put in a great effort and had a good time this weekend so thanks again to everyone and congratulations!!!
