Not sure yet, gotta look into it, make phone calls, find pricing, re check my empty wallet and just think about what I'm going to do. Considering a stroker kit, not sure just yet though, doing valves, rods, and pistons for sure......

Wanted to get it apart and examine, if there was no damage, new belt and tensioner and I would have been set to go after tuesday.

Valves, pistons, con rods, valve springs&retainers. This way you can completely build the motor for higher RPMs to take advantage of a bigger turbo down the road. Then swapping cams out is easy later.

                Re: BaggedGLI - The Rebuild

Looks like I'm just going to make it so I can drive it for another month or two before winter, automatic sucks.

I picked up an AEB head and some other maintenance parts and stuff, looks like I might be working on it a little over the weekend.

                    I guess I never updated.

As most know its running again, i've been driving it every nice day we have, new wheels are on the way, and parts are flooding in from all over North America and Europe (Thanks Pat!).

Wheels are a planned delivery for Thursday. Picking up more things from the post office today, picked up some yesterday.

Going to cut both trunks apart and create 1 super dooper 04+ Euro trunk?

                          Re: BaggedGLI - The Rebuild

Considered it but seems like risky business to me. I got an e46 m3 lip spoiler for it instead.
Or maybe I should take my other non GLI trunk lid I have and do something a little bit out there?

You're lucky I didn't try to make off with that trunk, it's pretty damn nice. I think the E46 spoiler will add a clean touch.
