Wow just saw this. Sorry about your car, but as mentioned already thank goodness they are built so tough. From the looks of the car, it could have been a much worse scenario in a weaker built car. Glad you are in good spirits about it all! Hopefully it all works out for the best and you find the car you want!

Stitches came out today

Also learned something new yesterday when I went to recover my property from the wreckage.

I was actually hit by two vehicles; the first impact that I knew about, and again on the passenger side front fender from oncoming traffic! Was pretty surprised to learn that tidbit.

And I found my Fat Max tool box was broken in the trunk. That's a bummer, as it'll go against my house/contents insurance (along with my driving glasses that are MIA). Not sure if I'll claim or not, seems like a hassle.

Which FatMax tool kit? Same thing as me, 228pc was in the trunk, luckily only broke one clip!

Did you blackout at some point and miss the second hit or was the hit long after you got out of the wreck?

I don't even remember the crash.

One minute I was managing my follow distance and lane discipline. It was as tough to tell where the road gave way to the ditch, as it was to see where the lanes divided.

Next thing I remember, I wake up standing on the highway.

Go figure it's merely the third time in my life I was going below the speed limit in adverse conditions (70-80 in a 100kmh zone).

I learned later that after I was t-boned, I was hit on the opposite side by oncoming traffic. Not super hard, but enough to ruin that fender and door.

The front passenger door was wedged closed when I went to grab my things from the wreck at the impound lot yesterday. Not to mention the driver's side.
