Some of the Pet Peeves listed are awesome. I hear you with the Open Office thing Russell. I made it a condition at my job that I get my own office.... I can't handle annoyingly loud people... and usually just close the door.
Pet Peeves:
1 - Extremely arrogant people (ie:some of Calgary's self inflated corporate crowd)
2 - People who wear their Bluetooth earpieces all the time (ie: see above)
3 - People who drive 20km/h under the speedlimit because they didn't "defrost"
roommates who leave the oven and the stove on unattended for hours by accident and dont think its a big deal. Especially in a house that was built in the 1960's.
I sit beside a guy who doesn't handle stress well. It starts with loud exhalations and eventually turns into nervous tapping of his mouse on the desk. I set up a little gauge on the whiteboard to alert people to what stage of stress he is under
1) when people don't fill out the drop off envelopes at the dealership... how am I supposed to know what to do, fortunatley the fun part about this is I get to call the dumbasses at 6:30 am to find out whats to be done.
I work in an "open office" so I get like half a wall, some days it really really grits on me (today) as I have to listen to what other people are doing (the loud guy on the phone) and I don't feel like having my music on (or up to a point where I don't have to listen to the office). I can see why it is an open office but at the same time I would get 10x more done on some days if I just had my own little quite space.
I will add to my list, Compile time of VS on my crappy 'interns' computer
