Any proficient users on the board. I need to have a couple of simple pieces drawn up but have not messed with autocad for at least 15 years.

Try sketchup, it is free and there is a large user base online.

sketchup is pretty cool. I use Autocad, but for land stuff, not mechanical...

^^^ Nice models. I use MicroStation & SketchUp - learned on AutoCad... if you're doing it yourself I'd go with SketchUp. It's easy to learn and free.

Just to model the basic shape of an o-ring? Draw large circle with center radius, then circle perpendicular. sweep small circle around large circle.

No i need to do two o-ring channals inside a cylinder. I am trying to draw out both top and bottom air bag plates that can be used on a audi A4 sport shock using double convoluted air springs. Similar to how the bagyard setup is. I was going to just do a set for me but decided to do them as a dwg so I could do a small run for those that would be interested.

That is perfect, something I will struggle with for weeks it looks like you could do in 5 minutes

Haha. Actually 3 including uploading the picture
Just create o-rings the way i said and a cylinder then subtract them. If you get me exact sizes i can do it up for you pretty easily

Quite nice. Could use someone with 3D skills like this to handle our plant site as-builts.
