    Re: World Cup 2014 Thread

Oh I'm cheering for Netherlands all the way now to the final, and agree that tomorrows game will be spectacular, I just don't think any game will top todays. Very physical 120 minutes of play, a controversial goal disallowance due to a "hand ball", Chile hitting the crossbar in the 119th minute, and then hitting the post on the last kick. It was an intense game for the whole 120. Gonna be hard to beat that!

I'll admit, from the teams that are left, I would love to see a Netherlands vs Brazil final!

Well that was quite the gamble the Netherlands used in subbing the goalie just before the penalties, but it paid off.

Not surprising really who is left, but not sure if Brazil can keep up the momentum but they have the crowd and spirit of Neymar now to keep them going.

I laugh when I hear "We will play extra hard for Neymar" like they weren't going to give it their all with him?? Also Thiago has been very good so far, not having him will be a bigger blow than not having Neymar IMO. I think Germany will take this one.

Brazil played very unlike Brazil... Talk about the hosts being kicked out with a bang...

Hopefully Argentina can win tomorrow setting up the perfect showdown for me. My German squad vs. my friends Argentina squad, and I can make some money off him!

Well I think Brazil had been "lucky" to get as far as they did and obviously now we see how they did against a true quality side, and I am sure Silva and Neymar would have made a difference but there is no way Brazil was good enough to get past them. I am kind of hoping for an all European final on South American soil now

                        Re: World Cup 2014 Thread

Really, with the last 4 teams anything is possible. All the teams have played great games and all of them have struggled against weaker teams. Nobody would have predicted a 7-1 score for that game, and its going to be really tough to call who makes it through today. I personally think its a matter of who has a worse day.

An all Euro final would be awesome to see in South America!

Well a fabulous goal to end the tournament and I think the Germans were well deserved victors. Argentina definitely did not capitalize on their opportunities and paid the ultimate price but it was a very good World Cup overall!!!
