Re: Racing 2015
Insurance no.
I got brake checked by the Stohr in front of me he started braking before we even got to the tires it was pretty ridiculous as we where already almost going mid corner apex speed for 2 so not much need to slow. I was planning on just tapping the brake before turn in right after the tires. When I got on the brakes i believe i was just unweighted from the bump so they locked up straight away combine that with me turning a little left to avoid i just went straight at the wall add that to some marbles and i was a passenger. At 1:25 you can see me let go of the brake and try and turn out of it but the tire wall sticks out 4 feet onto the track and just sucked me in.
After 1 month I still can't close my left hand fully and have very little grip strength in 2 of my fingers so might have to go back to see the docs again.
Old mans car is looking like it took more damage than mine $$$ wise he had a bracket break and pull out of the magnesium! bell housing.

Re: Racing 2015
There isn't a dirt/gravel run off in that corner. In fact on bikes we use the line that Roger was on, aim towards the tires jutting out and use them as our turn in point to turn 2. No insurance that I know of on race cars or race bikes

Re: Racing 2015
I think control was lost when the left wheels touched the dirt, pulling the car into the barrier?
That sucks, does insurance cover?Last edited by witchcraftz; 09-30-2015, 04:55 PM.

Re: Racing 2015
Roger, I watched the video 4 times, I'm still trying to figure out what happened? There is a bump on the outside of 1, but it seemed like an odd spot for your car to suddenly run straight, did you lock up the brakes in hopes of ducking behind the leader into corner 2?
Either way, I'm happy to hear you are OK, that is a scary place to connect with the barrier

Re: Racing 2015
Well we have a dash again in the car as it seems to have been a lost/corrupt firmware issue.
On to getting my Radon front wing rebuilt along with a new nose to replace all the smashed stuff from Spokane earlier in the season.
