mudflaps go so far for sure

i'm talking about your windshield, roof line, front bumper, head lights

of course it depends on what roads you need to take to work.. ie deerfoot=car death, crowchild=car death

almost every road in calgary=car death

Very cool! I noticed that they exist in Japan as well - may be worth looking to import one of these bad boys!

Almost 100% certain in europe only. Here's an excerpt I found regarding one that was on ebay:

    http://carscoop.blogspot.com/2009/05...f-country.html

"the Golf Country used VW's Syncro all-wheel drive system combined with a heavily revised suspension and higher road-clearance to offer the vehicle true off road capability.

Other features included a skid plate to protect the engine area along with front and rear guard rails plus an externally mounted spare wheel carrier.

In Europe, the Golf MK2 Country was offered with either a 115HP 1.8-liter 8v gasoline engine or a 75HP 1.6-liter turbodiesel."

If you're referring to the last picture in the first post, I believe its Montana however... none of them are my own pics. If you're looking for a road like that one though, there are tons of them outside of and around Kimberley, BC that look virtually identical to it. Perhaps I'll take a few shots when I drive them myself this Christmas!

P.S. This one is my fave. Boo-yah!

I only have shots of my Bimmers in the snow as I just got the TDI a few months ago...
