I had a Rave Green Auto, it was great, then I sold it when a manual came up for sale. Happier with the manual, except when in crazy traffic due to accidents then its gets a bit annoying

Like others have mentioned...don't buy the auto, I can almost guarantee you'll end up regretting it eventually. But if you must, like tirerub said, wide wheels, low and your set.

im not looking to mod the engine as much much as the exterior or interior

Don't buy the auto, there is no point modding the engine as the trans will inevitably fail.

so this weekend im heading up to lethbridge to hopefully purchase an 03 VW GTI(heard you guys arent pond of autos but bare with me, its my first car). was just looking for some ideas from expeienced VW drivers. thanks
