Yeah, I noticed that too haha. But I figured the seats are something a bit more solid to go on considering that it's fairly easy to slap on a fresh badge like that

Picture number 6 you can see the GTI badge on the seats, which makes me think it's a 20th.

^ This. Either of those scenarios, or it's a regular 1.8T GTI with an auto but it had the full 20th valences, wheels, brakes, interior, etc. swapped in. Not sure why you'd do that, as I can't imagine how much that would've cost... especially for the interior and brakes!

So the mystery continues. I would definitely get a CarFax on it if you still want a nice 20th package and auto trans. Looks like either it is mislabeled as auto and it's manual, or they did a tranny swap. If they swapped I would be very curious as to why they swapped. Interior pedals would be interesting too, probably alu gas pedal and plastic brake with clutch delete? I would be skeptical at best about this car.

Considering this car is being sold on a dealer lot, you would think the least they could do is hose it down. In its current state it looks like a dirty pile of crap, but I guess car washes are too expensive these days

There is one parked at the Fountain tire lot across from NLVW all the time that is just like this. Full 20th kit, aristos, calipers painted red, but if you look in the window the interior is leather. I've never heard of a 20th with auto so I guess interior might be the final clue. I guess it is possible they did a transmission swap after the 6sp blew out. That is more likely then buying a standard 1.8T and doing a full conversion including interior.

Looking close this does appear to be a 20th or at least somebody went to a lot of trouble to make it look like a 20th. It has a completely black interior, front and rear valance, skirts, exhaust, brakes and aristos.

If i'm not mistaken that looks like a 20th. If it had the aluminum trim interior and recaro seats which i'm guessing it does, that is not a bad price at all. The only thing that is puzzling me is i thought that 20ths only came with 6 speed transmissions and the only special anniversary editions that were available with automatics were the 2005 model year GLIs.

However if it is a true 20th with an automatic transmission i would definitely not get it, the 6 speed is one of the things that makes the 20th special and it just wont feel the same without it
